Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern use of our website and the supply of bespoke cakes, desserts and event catering services in the UK.

 
1) About us

2) Website use
  • You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it.

  • Content (text, photos, logo) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy it without permission.

  • We may update or suspend the site at any time.

 
3) Enquiries, quotes and orders
  • Enquiries: Use our contact form or contact details to discuss your ideas.

  • Quotes: Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Booking fee: A non-refundable booking fee of 20% may be required to secure your date.

  • Design changes: We’ll try to accommodate changes up to before your date; changes may affect the price.

  • Availability: All orders are subject to availability on your date.

 
4) Prices and payment
  • Prices are in GBP and include basic packaging; additional stands, props or special delivery are extra.

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer / paypal / cash on collection.

  • We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors.

 
5) Collection, delivery & risk
  • Collection: From collection address (address available on pick up).

  • Delivery: Available by arrangement within 30 miles; delivery charges may apply if over 2 miles.

  • Risk: Once collected or delivered and signed for, risk passes to you. Please transport and store cakes carefully (flat surface, cool conditions).

 
6) Allergies & dietary requirements
  • Important: Our products are made in a kitchen that handles allergens including [e.g., gluten, eggs, milk, nuts, peanuts, sesame, soya].

  • We cannot guarantee products are free from traces of allergens. Please tell us about all allergies at the time of ordering.

  • Where you provide allergy information, you consent to our using it to fulfil your order safely (see Privacy Policy).

 
7) Perishable/bespoke goods - cancellations & refunds
  • Our cakes and many items are perishable and made to your specification. For such items, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 normally exclude the usual 14-day cancellation period for distance sales.

  • You may cancel before work begins: booking fees are non-refundable once we have reserved your date and commenced preparations.

  • If we must cancel (e.g., due to illness or an event beyond our control), we’ll refund monies paid for the affected order or offer a suitable alternative date if possible.

  • This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose).

 
8) Complaints & issues

If there is a problem, please contact us promptly with photos where relevant. We will repair, replace or refund in line with your statutory rights and what is reasonable in the circumstances (e.g., minor cosmetic variations are possible with handmade items).

 
9) Event catering / horse box
  • Site access & utilities: You must provide suitable safe access/parking and, where agreed, electrical supply and permissions.

  • Permits: You are responsible for any event permissions/fees unless we agree otherwise.

  • Weather/force majeure: If severe weather or events beyond our control make service unsafe or impossible, we may adapt or cancel; liability is limited to amounts paid for the affected service.

 
10) Photography & promotion

We may photograph our work and use images for our portfolio and social media. If your event is private or includes minors and you do not want images used, please tell us in writing.

 
11) Liability

We are not liable for: (a) loss or damage caused by your improper storage/transport, (b) indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

 
12) Personal data

We handle personal data according to our Privacy Policy (see link in the footer of our site).

 
13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

 
14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The version date is at the top of this page.
